Listowel produced a magnificent display to mark their first basketball game in many a year. This was a marvellous team effort, with each of the 10 players contributing handsomely.
This group has the talent and drive to really improve, making it particularly more impressive that it was a first basketball game for the majority of the players. Imagine how good they could be with a bit of training!!
The squad was as follows: Killian O’ Gorman, John Fokseang, Stephen McCarthy, Diarmaid O’ Connell, Killian Fealy, Simon Bajger, Conor Hope, Chris Nyhill, Matthew Mahoney and Patrick Dooley.
Special mention must go to Diarmaid O’ Connell who ended the game as MVP with awesome display of power and strength, scoring 12 points in the process.
